The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully apprehended a notorious cocaine trafficker who had previously been convicted but resumed his illegal activities under a new name. The suspect was arrested at his residence located on 6 Yemishola Street in Ejigbo, Lagos, where authorities discovered phone chargers that were reportedly similar to those used to conceal cocaine during trafficking operations.

In a statement released by the agency, officials emphasized the importance of vigilance in identifying and apprehending individuals who attempt to circumvent the law by changing their identities. NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, highlighted that these actions not only endanger public health but also undermine the efforts of law enforcement in combating drug-related crimes.

The agency's ongoing operations demonstrate a commitment to eradicating drug trafficking networks within Nigeria. The discovery of contraband items during the raid signifies a proactive approach to monitoring and disrupting the activities of traffickers who continuously seek new ways to evade capture.

“Our resolve to dismantle drug trafficking rings remains unshaken. We will continue to track down those who think they can outsmart the law,” Babafemi stated.

The NDLEA's vigilance and success in this operation serve as a warning to other traffickers that the agency is determined to maintain the safety and security of the Nigerian populace by addressing the drug crisis head-on.
