LemFi, a licensed International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) by the Central Bank of Nigeria, has made a significant leadership move by appointing Dr. Haydar Daudu as its Head of Regulatory Affairs and Policy for West Africa. This strategic appointment is set against the backdrop of LemFi's ambitious plans to expand its services across the region, particularly in Nigeria, where it currently serves over 2 million customers and facilitates money transfers to more than 30 countries.

Dr. Haydar Daudu brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously advised the Deputy Governor for Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Nigeria and serving as Senior Economist and Chief of Staff at the D-8 Organisation for Economic Cooperation. His academic credentials are equally impressive, holding a PhD in Economics from Nile University of Nigeria, as well as a first-class degree from the University of Essex and an MSc from the University of Manchester.

In his new capacity, Dr. Daudu will spearhead LemFi's regulatory and policy initiatives, ensuring that the company meets all necessary regulatory standards while fostering constructive relationships with local authorities. Ridwan Olalere, co-founder and CEO of LemFi, expressed confidence in Dr. Daudu's ability to navigate the complex regulatory landscape in West Africa, emphasizing the company's commitment to transparency and compliance.

"As we expand our footprint in West Africa, it is crucial that we align our operations with local regulations, and Dr. Daudu's expertise will be instrumental in achieving this goal," said Olalere.

This appointment underscores LemFi's dedication to maintaining a strong regulatory framework as it scales its operations, further cementing its position in the competitive financial services market in West Africa.
