A high-level independent review panel headed by former Irish President Mary Robinson has dismissed all corruption allegations leveled against African Development Bank (AfDB) President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, validating the findings of the bank's ethics committee.
The panel concurred with the initial ethics committee findings that cleared Dr. Adesina of all 16 whistleblower allegations regarding appointments, contracts, and internal governance.
"The panel is pleased to report that the review process has confirmed the integrity and high governance standards of the African Development Bank Group under Dr. Adesina's leadership," the official report affirmed.
The conclusive clearance paves the way for Dr. Adesina's continued leadership and solidifies international confidence in the multilateral development institution.
